My research focuses on the physical properties of star forming galaxies in the early universe. I combine observations with computationally intensive models to better understand how galaxies form and evolve. I am particularly interested in Lyman-alpha emitting galaxies and am part of the HETDEX project, which will use these galaxies to search for evidence of dark energy in the early universe.

I am also a member of the Hobby-Eberly Telescope Dark Energy Experiment which aimes to use LAEs to measure the evolution of dark energy in the universe.
